Job Overview:
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring that the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall guest experience. Your leadership and commitment to excellence will be key in maintaining the premium reputation of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Assist in the daily management of restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Guest Service: Deliver exceptional service to guests, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure that each guest experience is consistent with our high standards of quality.
Staff Supervision: Support the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant staff. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff performance meets or exceeds expectations.
Team Leadership: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and morale among staff members. Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Financial Oversight: Assist in managing restaurant budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets and control costs.
Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service to ensure consistency with restaurant standards. Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to address any issues and maintain high quality.
Guest Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with regular guests and new patrons. Implement initiatives to enhance guest loyalty and satisfaction.
Marketing and Promotion: Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities to attract new guests and retain existing ones. Assist in organizing special events and private functions.
Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate records. Ensure all paperwork and reports are completed accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a premium or fine dining restaurant.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and industry best practices. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
Attributes: High level of professionalism and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
