Job Description
At STRI we are hiring a Finance Executive for our clients who are a NGO based in Chennai.
Job Description:
The person will take on the responsibility for all accounting & finance related tasks at the office. He/she will collaborate and work alongside our existing employees and volunteers in completing the assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of reimbursement claims, vendor invoices, consultant invoices, and other party invoices, ensuring they are correctly accounted for in relevant applications and paid promptly.
  • Manage all accounting & finance tasks including end-to-end Books of Accounts,bank reconciliation, receipts, vouchers, petty cash, reimbursements, and data entry into Quickbooks / Zoho Books or Tally.
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, issue receipts for donations, manage statutory payments, and assist in monthly statement of accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors for year-end auditing, statutory filings, and donor reporting. Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, TDS, PT, GST, FCRA, etc.
  • Handle employee compensation, benefits, payroll processing, reimbursements, and exit formalities.
  • Manage office administration, including digital assets, inventory tracking, and general inquiries.Collaborate with existing employees and volunteers to complete assigned tasks effectively.

Requirements Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, and administration.
  • Graduate in B.Com / B.CS or equivalent accounting degree.
  • Hands-on experience in Quickbooks/Tally/Zoho Books and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of statutory payments, donor reporting, and trust/society accounting is advantages.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resourceful, responsible, and self-starting with the ability to manage data efficiently.
  • Good English proficiency, computer skills, and knowledge of Zoho Books are desirable.
  • Female candidates preferred; age limit below 35 years.

  • Remuneration based on the candidate’s profile upto Rs.4.50 lakhs annually.

Requirements
3-5 years of relevant work experience Graduate in B.Com / B.CS or any equivalent accounting degree Hands-on experience in QuickBooks / Zoho Books or equivalent Prior experience with NGO -trust / society accounting would be an Preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills Good working knowledge in MS office packages including Excel Resourceful, responsible, and self-starting Ability to manage data efficiently.
