Job Overview Spandana Hospital is seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team in Bengaluru. This full-time, mid-level position requires 4 to 6 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional nursing care for our patients, adhering to hospital standards and protocols while providing compassionate support during the childbirth process. Qualifications and Skills Must possess physical strength to support patients, equipment, and long hours on duty (Mandatory skill). Attention to detail to ensure accurate patient information and meticulous care plans (Mandatory skill). Safety awareness to implement hospital protocols and guarantee a risk-free environment (Mandatory skill). Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently. Strong teamwork abilities to collaborate with medical professionals and support staff effectively. Solid problem-solving skills to address emergent situations calmly and competently. Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and coworkers clearly and compassionately. Adaptability to handle varying scenarios in a dynamic hospital setting seamlessly. Roles and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after childbirth. Monitor and assess the condition of patients and fetuses to ensure a healthy delivery. Assist doctors and midwives during labor and delivery procedures effectively. Administer medications, epidurals, and other medical interventions as prescribed. Educate parents on postpartum care, infant care, and breastfeeding support. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients and their care plans. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards. Offer emotional support to patients and families during labor and postpartum recovery.
