Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute strategic plans in alignment with organizational objectives and industry trends. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and market expansion in the smart metering sector.Project Management:

Oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.Team Leadership:

Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.Technical Expertise:

Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in smart metering. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring the successful implementation of solutions.Business Development:

Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new projects and contracts.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards governing smart metering projects. Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates that may impact project delivery.Financial Management:

Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability. Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and optimize project profitability.Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, milestones, and deliverables.Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and implement best practices to optimize project outcomes.Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth project execution. Develop risk management plans and contingency strategies to address unforeseen challenges and disruptions.Vendor and Supplier Management:

Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors involved in the project. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and resolve disputes to ensure the successful delivery of project deliverables.

Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, energy management, or a related field is usually the minimum requirement. Advanced degrees such as a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), with a focus on energy management or project management, can be advantageous.Experience:

10+ years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in electrical/infra contract executions. The candidate must have relevant experience in project management. This could include experience in smart grid technologies, smart metering deployments, or similar projects. Experience in working with utilities, government agencies, or relevant stakeholders in India's energy sector would be highly valuable.Project Management Skills:

Relevant mandatory experience in energy sector project execution and

a track record of managing profit and loss (P&L) accounts of at least 5,000 Cr . Strong project management skills are essential for overseeing large-scale projects like smart metering deployments. This includes the ability to develop project plans, manage budgets and resources, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.Technical Knowledge:

A deep understanding of smart metering technologies, including communication protocols, data management systems, and metering infrastructure, is necessary. This knowledge allows for effective decision-making and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.Stakeholder Management Skills:

The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders is critical. Candidate must have relevant experience with sub-contracting work and sub-contractor management. This includes utilities, government agencies, vendors, consumers, and community groups. Building consensus and managing expectations among stakeholders is key to project success.Leadership Abilities:

As a top-level project owner, strong leadership skills are essential for inspiring and motivating project teams. This involves setting a clear vision, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Analytical Skills:

The capacity to analyze data and metrics related to project performance is vital for identifying areas for improvement and making informed decisions. Analytical skills also help in forecasting future trends and adapting strategies accordingly.Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to identify and address challenges that arise during the project lifecycle is crucial. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, resolving conflicts, and overcoming obstacles to keep the project on track.Adaptability:

The energy sector, especially in emerging technologies like smart metering, is constantly evolving.
