Job Purpose : To oversee the compliance and documentation aspects of export operations, including dealing with statutory departments such as the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Customs, and ROTDP. The role also includes managing the renewals of necessary licenses and ensuring the accuracy of customs documents and financial records for export transactions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Update and renew key certifications such as IEC, RCMC, AEO, and EPR for all business units involved in export activities.
  • Liaise with statutory departments like DGFT, Customs, and ROTDP to ensure compliance with export regulations and manage the filing and tracking of export incentives, duty drawbacks, and related claims.
  • Verify and process the bills of Clearing House Agents (CHA) to ensure compliance with export procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Export Sales Register and Outstanding Register to track sales and pending payments for export transactions.
  • Conduct thorough checks of custom invoices to ensure they are aligned with export orders and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all correspondence and submissions related to statutory filings, ensuring that deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all documentation meets legal and regulatory standards before shipment.
  • Regularly audit and review documentation processes to ensure they adhere to industry best practices.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • In-depth understanding of export regulations and compliance requirements, particularly with statutory bodies like DGFT, Customs, and ROTDP.
  • Proven experience in managing export incentives, duty drawbacks, and claims related to various export incentive schemes.
  • Ability to manage the renewal and updating of key export certifications.
  • Experience in handling financial documentation and export sales records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for effective liaison with regulatory authorities and internal teams.
