Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana :Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (BJS) is a non-profit social impact organization in the forefront of addressing national concerns in disaster response, water conservation, health and social development. It has been a lead player in relief and rehabilitation efforts during all major disasters in India and its neighbourhood since 1993. With its ability to mobilize volunteers across the country, BJS has created sensitized task forces to undertake relief and rehabilitation work. It has also recognized the need for educational rehabilitation of disaster-affected children by providing them residential education. To mitigate devastating long-term effects of drought on communities, BJS has implemented large-scale drought mitigation programs, rejuvenating more than 13,000 large waterbodies and creating massive water storage capacities. At present, BJS in partnership with NITI Aayog is engaged in scaling this program in aspirational/water-stressed districts of the country. Recently, during COVID-19 pandemic, BJS responded with programs that touched more than 2.5 million people across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and several other states through doorstep health checks, COVID testing, awareness campaigns, support for COVID vaccination, oxygen support to patients, and by strengthening COVID-resilience in villages.Position Overview : We are seeking a fundraising consultant to join our organization. You will be responsible for identifying potential sponsors and event donors, as well as securing their support. You'll also be responsible for creating and sending out proposals. Responsibilities : Below are some of the responsibilities a fundraising consultant is expected to assume in their position.
- Create and implement effective fundraising plans and strategies to secure CSR funds from corporate partners.
- Identify potential corporate donors and develop a targeted approach to engage them.
- Identify and approach potential sponsors, donors, and granters
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, understanding their CSR goals and aligning them with BJS initiatives.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and discussions with corporate representatives to pitch BJS projects and secure funding.
- Prepare compelling grant proposals, project reports, and presentations for corporate donors.
- Ensure that all proposals are tailored to the specific interests and requirements of each corporate partner.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events to generate CSR funds.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create promotional materials and campaigns that highlight BJS’s work and impact.
- Maintain regular communication with corporate donors, providing updates on project progress and impact.
- Ensure timely acknowledgment and recognition of corporate contributions.
- Track and report on fundraising progress, including funds raised, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders, showcasing the impact of corporate donations.Job Qualifications and Skill Sets : Below are the qualifications expected of a fundraising consultant:
- A master’s degree isn’t required but recommended
- Proven experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or CSR management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of CSR principles, corporate engagement, and grant proposal writing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and a self-starter with an outgoing personality
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro, and the Internet is a plus
