Job Summary - IT Hardware Specialist The IT Hardware Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware systems and devices across the organization. The role involves ensuring the efficient operation of IT hardware, conducting repairs, and coordinating with vendors for technical support when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Hardware Installation and Maintenance Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components, including computers, servers, printers, and networking devices. Maintain and monitor IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Perform routine inspections to identify potential hardware issues. Troubleshooting and Repair Diagnose and resolve hardware-related problems in a timely manner. Replace or repair faulty components such as hard drives, RAM, and power supplies. Collaborate with software teams to resolve compatibility issues. Asset Management Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and related accessories. Keep records of hardware maintenance schedules and warranty details. Assist in the procurement of new hardware as per organizational requirements. Network Support Assist in the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks. Troubleshoot network hardware such as routers, switches, and access points. Vendor Coordination Coordinate with hardware vendors for purchasing, warranty claims, and technical support. Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. Documentation and Reporting Create and maintain detailed documentation of hardware configurations and technical procedures. Provide regular reports on hardware performance and incidents. Qualifications and Skills Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Experience: 2-5 years of experience in IT hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking devices, and peripherals. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic networking concepts. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working Conditions: Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to other locations for hardware support. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Average resolution time for hardware issues. Hardware functioning at optimal levels. Adherence to maintenance schedules. Vendor performance and cost-effectiveness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
