Job Title Marketing Automation Campaign Specialist Job Summary: Provide a brief overview of the main purpose of the role and how it fits into the organization. As a Marketing Cloud Email and Campaign Specialist, you will enable our B2C campaign efforts within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. You will serve as a subject matter expert in email marketing delivery and build sophisticated journeys, Data Cloud audiences, data extensions, Automation Studio workflows, and support the platform roadmap—including, implementing AMPScript personalization, AI-driven features, leading A/B testing frameworks, and other strategic initiatives. You’ll be partnering with cross-functional teams to shape campaign strategy, promote feature adoption, integrate new brands and optimize engagement and deliverability health. Duties and Responsibilities: List the core tasks and responsibilities associated with the role. Design and delivery of B2C campaign solutions (emails, journeys, landing pages, forms, etc.) including audience segmentation and research. Serve as a subject matter expert in email marketing; stay current with best practices and industry trends while ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws. Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand audience requirements, business goals, and objectives; review campaign and deliverability metrics and recommend optimizations. Develop, update, and test new email templates; maintain a reusable asset library. Conduct A/B testing and provide actionable insights for improvement at all campaign stages. Design and implement automated email and mobile journeys using Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder; advise on optimization strategies. Demonstrate strong understanding of digital marketing KPIs, including email performance, PPC, and conversion metrics. Report and analyze email activity using Email Studio and Journey Builder reports. Track record for delivering marketing automation projects in a fast-paced environment, and able to successfully keep to deadlines. Ability to design campaign journeys, emails, and campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). Proficiency in HTML and UX best practices for creating custom templates (emails, forms, landing pages). Knowledge of AMPscript for dynamic content and logic in emails and landing pages. SQL expertise for building target audiences in Marketing Cloud. Experience in audience segmentation within SFMC and CDP platforms. Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders: Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Analytics Builder. Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) is a plus. Ability to build and manage custom preference centers. Strong communication skills to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across virtual teams. Positive, proactive attitude and strong team player. Minimum Education and Experience Required: State the minimum level of education and professional experience required to be qualified for the role. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder) Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications: List any preferred qualifications that could benefit the role but are not essential. Required: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Nice-to-Have: Salesforce Certified AI Associate, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Developer, and Data Cloud certification Deep understanding of email marketing strategies, automation best practices, deliverability standards and advanced reporting techniques Prior background in healthcare marketing or regulated-industry data integrations History of supporting marketing teams through acquisition integrations Experience managing cross-channel marketing campaigns (email, SMS, social audiences, push notifications). Familiarity with API integrations and data workflows to support form testing, staging environments, and external system connections. Skills and Competencies: Outline the skills and competencies required for the role. This can include soft skills and technical skills. Proficiency in AMPScript, SQL/SSJS and Mobile Studio for dynamic content and SMS campaigns Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills Proven ability to translate business objectives into scalable automation solutions and actionable playbooks Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to QA for high-volume, regulated marketing programs. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, agency-style environment. Knowledge of email deliverability and inbox placement tools (e.g., Everest, ReturnPath, 250ok) a plus.
