Job Description
OpenCV University is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to both our employees and learners, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our platforms and courses. Your expertise will help maintain our systems' reliability and security while assisting users with technical issues across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Assistance : Provide timely and effective support to employees and learners for software and hardware issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and learning experiences.
Cross-Platform Support : Assist with the installation and setup of OpenCV, Python, and environment configurations on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS platforms.
System Maintenance : Help maintain company servers, workstations, and software systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Multi-Channel Support : Offer technical support online, on-call, and offline, ensuring availability and responsiveness to employee and learners needs.
Learner Assistance : Respond promptly to technical queries raised by learners, helping them with installation, setup, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth learning experience.
User Account Management : Assist with creating, managing, and troubleshooting user accounts for employees and learners.
Documentation : Maintain clear and accurate records of support requests, solutions, IT processes, and configurations.
Training : Provide basic IT training to staff and learners on using new systems or software and best practices for security and efficiency.
System Monitoring and Maintenance : Continuously monitor the performance of company laptops, machines, and systems—both software and hardware. Ensure that all devices are functioning optimally, and proactively address any potential issues identified in logs, alerts, or through routine inspections to prevent disruptions for employees and learners.
Qualifications
Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in an edtech or educational environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
Proficiency in Python, OpenCV installation, and environment setup.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
Flexibility to provide support across multiple channels (online, on-call, offline).
