VTOL is dedicated to excellence in both defense and civil aviation applications with its Made in India UAV Systems and Subsystems. With the upcoming projects, VTOL is expanding its HR department to fulfill the HR requirements. Role Overview We are looking for an HR Manager to lead HR strategy, recruitment, HR operations, and people management for a fast-scaling defence aerospace company. This role drives organisational capability across recruitment, performance, compliance, culture, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Leadership (Core Focus): - Lead hiring strategy for engineering, avionics, aerospace R&D, flight testing & manufacturing roles. - Build talent pipelines, manage sourcing channels & oversee all recruitment processes. - Drive employer branding and campus hiring with top engineering institutions. - Create job descriptions, competency frameworks & manpower planning with department heads. HR Operations & Governance: - Oversee onboarding, induction, HRIS, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes. - Drive payroll inputs, attendance systems, and employee record management. - Ensure statutory compliance, internal HR audits & policy implementation. - Support documentation required for defence audits, certifications & government processes. Performance & Development: - Implement performance appraisal cycles and KPI-driven evaluation frameworks. - Identify skill gaps and coordinate training, technical upskilling & L&D programs. - Drive engagement, retention, culture-building and leadership development initiatives. Employee Relations & Workplace Management: - Lead grievance redressal, conflict resolution & disciplinary processes. - Maintain a professional, inclusive, and compliant work environment aligned with defence manufacturing standards. Requirements - MBA/PGDM in HR or related field. - 5-7 years’ experience in HR, with strong exposure to technical recruitment. - Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, defence or engineering-led companies preferred. - Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
