Canteen Manager Position Type School Operations Commence Date 27 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week Part Time Subject(s)/Grade Grade 4 (+12% superannuation) Role Details Xavier College is seeking a motivated, organised and experienced Canteen Manager to lead operations at our Two Wells (R–11) campus in our newly built canteen. This is a permanent, part-time position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the canteen’s day-to-day activities including food preparation, stock control, purchasing, staff coordination and ensuring excellent service. This role will be commencing Monday, 27 January 2026 . Working hours are Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 3.30pm, over 41 weeks of the school year. As the Canteen Manager you will: Organise the canteen’s yearly schedule and manage daily activities to ensure everything runs smoothly within approved budgets. Create menus that meet dietary guidelines and organise food purchasing, preparation, and service for both the school and OSHC. Manage the ordering, stock control and financial records, ensuring accurate financial records of sales, costs and budgets. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and WHS practices, ensuring all staff follow procedures. Lead, train and support canteen staff to provide a friendly and efficient service. Maintain canteen equipment, ensure cleaning, security, and end of term stocktakes are regularly undertaken to ensure a safe environment. About You You are a proactive, reliable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy, student-centered environment. You bring excellent organisational skills, a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene and the ability to lead a small team with professionalism and care.
