Canteen Assistant Position Type School Operations Commence Date 27 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week Part Time Subject(s)/Grade Grade 2 (+12% superannuation) Role Details Xavier College  is seeking a dependable, energetic and experienced Canteen Assistant  to join our team at the Two Wells  (R-11) campus in our newly built canteen. This is a permanent, part-time position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Canteen shop, assisting with food preparation and delivering friendly, efficient service to students and staff. This role will be commencing Monday, 27 January 2026 . Working hours are Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 3.30pm, over 41 weeks of the school year. As the Canteen Assistant you will work closely with the Canteen Manager to: Open and close the canteen, allowing time for food prep and service. Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food during scheduled meal breaks. Operate an electronic cash register and EFTPOS terminal. Receive and unpack food deliveries, verifying items against order forms. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, benches, fridges, and ovens. Ensure the canteen is clean, hygienic and compliant with health and safety regulations.
