Design Manager Hydraulic Cylinders

PositionSummary:
Key individual contributor in thefield of Hydraulic Cylinder design. Should be able to workindependently to design
Assembly and Manufacturingdrawings of Hydraulic Cylinders including design calculations.Should be competent in
using 3D software Inventor forcreating 3D models and 2D drawings. Sould be aware of all therelevant standards and
practices used in the HydraulicCylinder industry
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Interaction with Customers Sales team Design and Supply Chainteams. No direct reports.
Essential Functions:
1. Analysecustomer input specifications and performance requirements todetermine manufacturability based on existing guidelines
2. Independently Design Hydraulic Cylinders using CAD (InventorAutoCAD etc.) create 3D models 2D drawings based on the inputspecifications from customers and Parker standarddesign.
3. Document all the calculations and technicalconsiderations used in creating the design
4. CreateAssembly drawings and obtain customer approval and manufacturingclearance
5. Create and release manufacturing drawingsper existing practice
6. Interact with customers andsuppliers for resolving any technical issues testing requirementsetc.
7. Support the Sales team by providing cost inputsfor cylinders based on customer RFQ
8. Conduct routineanalyses and/or tests to evaluate product designs methods materialsor processes and complete required technical documentation byapplying engineering principles and company standards andgenerating reports procedures or change proposals as required.
9. Adopt lean product development and standardengineering development and techniques.
10. Participatein Lean activities Kaizen 5S etc. and in High PerformanceCFTs JobRequirements :
1. Qualifications: BachelorDegree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Min. 5 years ofexperience in Hydraulic Cylinder Design.
3. Ability towork with MS Office (especially excel) CAD (Inventor Envoia etc.)experience preferred
4. Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills; able to work independently
5.Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of theorganization and customers
6. Understanding of Leanmethodologies and continuous improvement
