The CSETA Group, Bangalore has the responsibilities to Develop Components and Systems like Chassis Structure, Battery Box, Fuel tanks, Fuel system & Exhaust system Installation for all Volvo trucks Brands. The Group responsibility covers maintenance, start cost projects and technology development, across various Products in the Volvo GTT truck ranges. In our work we have contact with other business areas like Operations, Purchasing, After Market, Powertrain Engineering as well as Vehicle engineering colleagues in Global sites in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro, Curitiba and Aus.The group consists of passionate and enthusiastic engineers responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing and delivering the projects. This is your chance to join one of the Top Employer companies in India and embrace new career challenges within the automotive industryThis position will report to the Group Manager – Fuel & Exhaust in CSETA, Chassis Engineering Bangalore.ROLE DESCRIPTIONLead, drive and execute end to end (E2E) product design & development of Fuel system and components engineering activities.Manage, Mentor and guide the team deliveries as a part of engineering leadership.Have operational responsibility for a component, system and sub-module deliveryLead and drive the product road map , Product Strategy Reviews (PSR) and Knowledge Management (KM) topics, Strategic initiativesTo lead and drive innovation (IPR , AE), sustainability.Drive the development from research/early phases of development to product maintenance and apply for Patents on innovative areas.Front-load work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases.Ensure new designs fulfill business targets, requirements and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targetsHave on a holistic view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release.Manage area of responsibility by learning and applying applicable toolsManage networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in other sitesLead supplier relationships, prior supplier selection, during development following projects requirements and in maintenance phasesParticipate to supplier selection in collaboration with purchasingCollaborate with all Volvo Engineering sites to ensure efficient installations of parts and systemsCreate or update CAD Models, Part Drawings, and Installation Drawings with CREO-ParametricDocument design change notices and structural components in the PDM systemDevelop modular systems and components to optimize part diversityEnsure component durability by requesting analysis and/or physical verificationIntegrate deliveries from others and secure quality readiness before releaseDevelop and share acquired competence (e.g. training) and provide technical adviceContributes to innovations or technologies that are regarded as important advances in the field.Set examples of Product ownership, engineering leadership & encourage engineers for the same.Taking Initiatives at Commodity/Dept./Site level for Continuous ImprovementsLook for More Efficient Ways of workings on regular basis. REQUIRED EDUCATIONBE/ B.Tech / M.E/M.Tech / M.S in Mechanical Engineering or related field

mustLeading the complex tasks /projects is mustProject management experience is a meritPrevious leadership experience is a meritExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsSolid T -shaped Knowledge of commercial vehicle Fuel Systems ( Diesel , Alternate fuels- LNG, CNG , H2-ICE) is mustWorking experience in the domain of H2-FCEV, H2-ICE is an added advantageKnowledge of legal requirements and industry trends is well expectedGood knowledge of application of GD&T and 3D Tools ( Creo )Strong in engineering fundamentalsGood knowledge in sheet-metal, Aluminum, welding & corrosion protection of components.Knowledge in the regulations-driven design and in the Verification and Validation of fuel system and components.Design of Sheet metal and Casting Complex bracketsDeep understanding of Digital Validation reports like CAE- Durability, CFDStrong Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA and other quality toolsHands-on experience in Creo toolKnowledge of product development cycle (DVP).Comprehensive knowledge of Agile Way of Working and mindset is a plus.Basic knowledge of ISO standard 26262, Functional Safety for development of Safety Functions is also a plusCompetence and exposure to Volvo Tools and Processes will be an added advantageHave holistic view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release.Knowledge Chassis Equipment’s packaging, routing & development.KOLA knowledge is an added advantage
