Job Summary:

We are looking for CNC Machinist VTL Operator to be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC Vertical Turning machines and perform precision machining on complex large parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with general VTL operation and mechanical skills
  • Familiar with checking, setting up programs and measuring tool offsets
  • Machine parts to hold tolerances per drawing specifications
  • Knowledge of verifying dimensions using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various measuring devices
  • Familiar with working on VTLs such as Mazak and Fanuc Controlled Machining Centers
  • Responsible for reporting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, and cleaning debris from machine
  • Familiar with operating lifting devices for movement of materials and other equipment as needed
  • Experience working in AS9100 and ISO9000 environment a plus
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area

Requirements:

  • Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Ability to operate measuring instruments and operate Mazak or FANUC controls
  • Comfort with working with close tolerances
  • At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator is preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and drawings with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow proper safety protocols
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
