Job Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished Application Lead – SAP ABAP (S/4HANA) with a strong background in RICEFW development, RAP, CAP, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will take ownership of leading technical teams, driving end-to-end application design and development, and delivering high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. This role demands excellent leadership, technical depth, and a collaborative approach to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP ABAP development within the S/4HANA environment.
Lead the design, development, and configuration of custom applications and solutions.
Mentor and guide developers and junior team members to ensure consistent delivery and skill development.
Collaborate with functional and business stakeholders to gather requirements , define technical specifications, and align deliverables with business needs.
Develop and optimize CDS views, AMDP procedures, and custom ABAP code following best practices.
Build and maintain ODATA Services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
Leverage RAP and CAP models to create scalable, secure, and modern SAP applications.
Ensure code quality, performance, and compliance with SAP and organizational standards.
Participate in Agile project delivery , including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Manage risks, troubleshoot issues, and drive technical resolution and continuous improvement .
Technical & Professional Skills:
Mandatory Skills:
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Deep expertise in S/4HANA ABAP , including CDS Views , AMDP , enhancements , and performance tuning .
Proven experience in RICEFW development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
Strong knowledge of SAP ODATA Services and integration with Fiori/UI5 applications .
Proficiency in RAP (Restful Application Programming) and familiarity with CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model.
Good understanding of SAP HANA database principles and performance optimization strategies.
Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) .
Exposure to Agile methodologies , DevOps tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines .
