
Project Management Expert cum Construction Manager

12 years relevant experience in project management of smart cities, housing and township projects, city / municipal projects, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Strategy Development:
Define project goals, objectives, and key deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans that outline project scope, schedules, and resource allocation.
Establish project timelines and milestones, and set clear performance benchmarks.
Construction Management:
Supervise the construction process, ensuring that the project is being built according to specifications, designs, and codes.
- Coordinate on-site activities, including managing subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
Oversee safety protocols and ensure that construction activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Budget and Cost Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all resources (materials, labor, etc.) are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Approve invoices and track expenditure throughout the project.
Monitor cash flow, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.
Scheduling & Resource Management:
Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, ensuring the project progresses smoothly without delays.
- Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Monitor and adjust schedules to prevent or mitigate delays.
Risk Management & Problem Solving:
Identify potential risks (e.g., delays, cost overruns, quality issues) and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Act as the primary problem solver for issues that arise during the construction process, making critical decisions under pressure.
Manage any conflicts or disputes that arise between stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication:
Lead and manage teams, ensuring everyone is working towards the projects common goal.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants to provide project updates and resolve issues.
Provide regular reports to senior management or clients, detailing project status, progress, challenges, and solutions.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards, building codes, and specifications.
- Perform inspections and quality audits to maintain high construction standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, with a focus on preventing accidents and maintaining a safe work environment.
