Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies specifically for domestic industrial chemical commodities, with a strong focus on powder chemicals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable chemical suppliers within India, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and compliance with standards.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence covering capacity, reliability, and sustainability practices.
  • Drive cost optimization through strategic negotiations, vendor consolidation, and alternate sourcing.
  • Monitor domestic market trends, price fluctuations, and supply-demand dynamics to proactively manage risks.
  • Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance long-term collaboration and performance.
  • Lead and guide a team of procurement professionals, ensuring alignment with business needs and category strategies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 8-12 years of proven experience in domestic procurement of industrial chemicals, with major exposure to powder chemicals.
  • Strong understanding of Indian chemical supply markets, vendors, and pricing mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
  • Bachelors/Master's degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
