Role Overview: The Project Head - Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-rise residential projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The role requires expertise in managing architect and civil firms, coordinating across multiple cities, and driving engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities: Strategic: • Develop and obtain approvals for Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with detailed milestones for subcontractors and execution teams. • Establish project execution philosophy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and completion criteria. • Benchmark emerging trends in materials and construction methodologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability. • Build and manage a global database of reliable vendors and contractors. Operational: • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. • Collaborate with architects, design consultants, and civil firms to align engineering and architectural objectives. • Lead tendering and contracting processes in consultation with senior leadership and project heads. • Negotiate effectively with contractors and vendors to secure favorable terms. • Implement value engineering initiatives to optimize costs and improve operations. • Monitor actual project progress versus planned timelines, addressing deviations proactively. • Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Manage inventory and maintain optimal stock levels to reduce carrying costs. Qualifications: • Educational Background: BE/B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution. • Experience: o 20+ years in the construction industry, with at least 15 years in project management roles for high- rise residential, commercial, or township projects. o Proven expertise in managing large-scale projects across multiple cities.
