Clenergize is one of the fastest growing Energy & Sustainability Consulting Firm in the Middle East. We are looking for an Experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The person will be required to work on Electrical Engineering, Design Packages for Solar and MV/HV Grid Electrification Projects. This is a remote job and does not require the person to be in office. Most of our teams work remotely, with the laptops and software provided to them. We will provide the laptops and software needed to prepare the designs and coordinate with our global teams. All the senior management of the company, from Technical Directors up to Design Engineers, do the engineering and drafting activity as well. The candidate will need to work on CAD extensively and use it for most deliverables. Responsibilities The candidate will be required to: Design and Layout: Develop detailed electrical designs and layouts for large-scale solar energy systems and grid electrification projects, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare Technical Specifications: Draft and review technical specifications for electrical components such as transformers, inverters, switchgear, and cabling, ensuring accuracy and suitability for each project. Create Project Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and as-built drawings, to support project execution and future reference. Facilitate Grid Integration: Design and manage the integration of solar power plants with existing electrical grids, including synchronization, protection schemes, and metering. Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all relevant national and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations throughout the design process. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and structural engineers, as well as project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of electrical designs into overall project plans. Coordinate with Vendors and Contractors: Liaise with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of electrical designs, overseeing procurement and providing on-site installation support as needed. Provide Field Support (if applicable): Offer technical support during the installation, commissioning, and operational phases of projects, including troubleshooting electrical issues on-site. Promote Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends in solar and grid electrification, and contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies. Qualifications Technical degree required; Engineering degree preferred. Full Proficiency in Auto CAD. At least 15+ years of experience in Solar and MV/HV Grid Projects Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Concept Design, FEED, IFC, Shop Drawing Packages in the solar industry Design experience of utility solar projects.
