Head of Human Resources



Role Summary:


You will be responsible for leading and executing the organization's human resources strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives and oversee all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and HR compliance. In essence, your role will entail overseeing every aspect of the employee lifecycle.


 

Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop and Implement HR Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive human resources strategy that supports the organization's overall mission, vision, and strategic objectives.


2. Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead the organization's talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Develop strategies for talent retention, career development, succession planning, and performance management.


3. Employee Relations: Oversee employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.


4. Compensation and Benefits: Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. Analyze market trends and benchmarks to ensure the organization's compensation and benefits offerings remain competitive.


5. Learning and Development: Design and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities. Provide opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth to support career advancement and succession planning.


6. Diversity and Inclusion: Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a diverse and equitable workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best. Promote diversity in hiring practices, leadership development, and organizational culture.


7. HR Technology and Analytics: Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline HR processes, improve decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Implement HRIS systems and other tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in HR operations.


8. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks and maintain a safe and legal work environment.


9. Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with other senior leaders and departments to align HR initiatives with business goals and objectives. Serve as a strategic advisor to the directors and team members on all matters related to human capital management.



 

 

Qualifications and Skills:


·       Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

·       15+ years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, with at least 10 years in a senior position/role.

·       Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

·    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

·       Strategic thinker with a track record of driving organizational change and transformation.

·       Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.

·       Experience implementing HR technology solutions and leveraging data analytics for decision-making.

·       Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

·       Professional certifications such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP are a plus.

The Head of Human Resources will directly report to the co-founders
