Sap Basis Consultant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Basis/Security Lead Consultant with deep expertise in SAP Basis and Security modules. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead both project and operational initiatives

• Possesses expertise in SAP Basis and Security modules, with a proven ability to deliver effective solutions and demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (SAP ECC, SAP BW, Solution Manager, S4/Hana and SAP RISE).
• Must have extensive experience in working in Projects and Operations experience
• Extensive hands-on configuration knowledge and the strong knowledge of integration points with SAP Modules
• Should have worked on system resource sizing, planning and implementing ECC, S4/Hana systems
• Provide Solution and effort estimation and working with project team for project timeline
• Expert understanding of Network and Infrastructure configuration and should be able to collaborate with Network/Infra team
• Good understanding on Cloud Environments and working experience in SAP PCE
• Able to prepare Guidelines and Architecture documents Knowledge documents and guide SAP Team
• Should have experience on Supporting ABAP/Functional Team to support BASIS and security related issues
• Skilled in creating users, roles, and profiles, as well as managing users, with knowledge of Fiori Apps roles and security.
• Good understanding and experience of SOX Audit Process and able to support Audit submissions
• Extensive experience on core basis activities of Transport Management System, Systems refresh, Client copy, SAP Installation, Upgraded, SP Upgrade and OS Patching
• Experience in SAP incident management, SNote implementation, certification and licensing, Solution Manager, CCLM, monitoring setup, ChaRM implementation, and SAP CloudALM
• Assisting on OS Scripts for interface data transfers (UNIX Shell Scripting), SAP Job scheduling and System Performance monitoring
• Configure and manage the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances.
• Maintain SAP performance by planning and implementing tuning strategies in coordination with the AMS team to optimize system operation.
• Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
• Administer the SAP database with Database Administrator (Hana and Oracle).
• Perform SAP client administration as required.
• Should have worked extensively on Interface, FTP, SAP Router, Cloud Connector and BTP
• Ready to take challenges and guide the team on new / up-coming technologies
• Provide applications expertise and knowledge to the business (and other Global IT functions) for the design, development, and integration of IT solutions in your designated applications area (SAP and integration to non-SAP systems)
• Lead the team in performing key incidents root cause analysis and prepare countermeasures during hyper-care support and in operations support
• Collaborate and Co-ordinate with SAP for service requests which require SAP Involvement
• Ensure change requests/mini projects are delivered by schedule agreed with business and meeting quality expectation
• Apply and migrate SAP maintenance through all systems using a structured methodology.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
• Timely delivery of systems to project team and adhere to project timelines
• Providing Training/ Sharing Knowledge to BAU support team on the project issue and equip them during transition phase
• Providing continuous update to Management/Stakeholder on the progress of activities
• Ensure quality by performing end-to-end testing and impact analysis for any changes done on global programs before going-live
• Observe and proactively evaluate future risks/issues and escalate accordingly.
• Take the initiative to improve business pain point, strengthen system functionality, recommend solution and work closely with COE members to improve SAP template and create benefits for users using SAP system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• SAP Basis certification in ECC and S/4HANA (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Min 1015 years of SAP Basis/Security consulting experience.
• Proven delivery across at least three full-cycle SAP projects in ECC and S/4HANA.
• Ability to align business requirements with packaged solutions.
