Role and Responsibilities
Administer and configure SAP systems, landscapes, and functional modules to ensure smooth operations. Track and manage performance, availability, and capacity of SAP environments using system monitoring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) for both infrastructure and application layers. Execute SAP system maintenance, including installation, patching, and version upgrades. Handle user management tasks, including SAP user creation, role assignments, authorization maintenance, and profile updates. Develop and update technical documentation related to SAP system configurations, procedures, and standards. Collaborate with application teams to support business requirements and implement changes across SAP environments. Perform SAP system copies, schedule regular backups, and conduct disaster recovery testing to ensure system continuity. Enforce system security policies and maintain data integrity across the SAP landscape.Skills and Experience
5-10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration. Demonstrate proficiency in SAP system administration, including installation, upgrades, and system migrations. Have hands-on experience with SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver platforms. Use tools like SAP Solution Manager and SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for system administration. Bring familiarity with cloud platforms and automation scripting languages, such as Bash or Python. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in day-to-day operations. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a cross-functional IT team. Hold certifications in SAP Basis or related technologies (preferred). Understand operating systems such as Linux and Windows, and work with database systems like Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.-
