Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Production Manager to oversee and optimize our fastener manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the production of B7 studs, washers, auto parts, and sheet metal components, along with a strong background in managing production processes in an OEM environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficient and timely output of high-quality products.
- Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and customer requirements.
- Supervise production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Implement and maintain production processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Analyse production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime.
- Assist in the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and progress towards goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in production management, specifically in the manufacturing of B7 studs, washers, auto parts, and sheet metal components within an OEM environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control standards.
- Proven track record of improving production efficiency and product quality.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
