Banking - Business Manager - Vice President

Role Overview: The Banking organization, which includes Investment Bank, Corporate Bank and Commercial Bank, oversees the delivery of the full firm to clients in over 90 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence. It harnesses the power of Citi’s talent, expertise and global reach to serve large and mid-sized company wherever they do business and achieve their strategic objectives. The India Banking Business Execution team is responsible for supporting the franchise heads in Investment Bank, Corporate Bank and Commercial with the growth and client strategy of the franchise, driving operational excellence and promoting a robust control environment. We are seeking a Vice President (C13) to join the India Banking Business Execution team who can work closely with India Banking business heads, functional partners and Banking JANA & AS Business Execution team to execute strategic initiatives and support day-to-day management of the business. The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator who is experienced working with business heads and partners in strategy execution. Thought leadership, problem-solving ability and commercial awareness are essential attributes. A good understanding of the Banking industry, related risks and regulatory environment would be helpful. The role will report directly to Banking JANA & AS Cluster Business Execution Lead. Responsibilities: Work closely with the India Senior Management teams to develop and implement business strategy. Facilitate, support and lead key business initiatives across the country / cluster. Analyze and communicate financial performance, client opportunities, market trends and provide insights for country, cluster and global stakeholders Support the cluster Banking Business Execution team in developing innovative solutions along with product partners to address client needs and objectives Coordinate regular business planning and review, and working with business leaders on developing business outlook and strategy Develop and manage relationships with key areas of the firm, such as Services, Markets, Operations and Governance Execute key projects and ad-hoc analyses within the business Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure: 8-12 years’ experience in Banking / Financial Services / Management Consulting Basic problem-solving toolkit (structured and robust thought process with clear articulation of ideas) Intellectually curious and highly energetic, a self-starter who is able to identify opportunities and execute independently Strong prioritization and re-prioritization skills with an ability to multitask Comfortable with large datasets, strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels Must have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
