Position Summary
Experienced Principal ASP.NET Core API Developer sought to spearhead development initiatives and shape the architectural direction of our API solutions. The ideal candidate boasts 5-7 years of hands-on ASP.NET Core experience, a profound grasp of API design principles, and a successful history of delivering intricate and scalable API solutions. Whether you bring 3-5 years as a Backend Developer or 5-7 years as a Senior Backend Developer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
Drive the architectural vision and design decisions for API solutions.
Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure APIs using ASP.NET Core.
Define and implement best practices for API design, versioning, and documentation.
Enforce coding standards and best practices within the development team.
Conduct code reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.
Lead efforts to optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement caching strategies and other performance optimization techniques.

Skills and competencies
Technical Skills:
ASP.NET Core Development: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure APIs using ASP.NET Core.
API Design Principles: Deep understanding of API design principles, with a track record of successfully delivering complex and scalable API solutions.
Cloud Services: Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
Database Expertise: Expertise in database design and optimization, including experience with Entity Framework Core or similar ORM frameworks.
Front-end Technologies: Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular is a plus.
Human Skills:
Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, drive architectural vision, and mentor junior developers to foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Best Practices and Coding Standards: Define and implement best practices for API design, versioning, and documentation, and enforce coding standards within the development team.

Experience & Qualification

5 to 7 years of professional experience in ASP.NET Core development.
