The VSE team partners closely with Sales and customers to capture requirements and articulate how BMC’s unique and differentiated capabilities can best serve customer needs. This is a highly visible team working with our most successful sales teams to support the most pres-tigious companies around the world. Join us as a Solution Engineer on our Mainframe Presales team As a Solution Engineer, you will be working directly with Sales and Presales organizations in order to create strategy, timelines and deliverables to align customers initiatives to BMC's solutions. Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:  • Through a consultative approach, partner with sales teams to interpret often complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business and technical value. • Simplify the communication of both technical and business content to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).• For a maximum impact on sales engagements, actively partner with the customer to document their current state, including applicable metrics to assist in defining the correct solution and support in business case creation and build deliverables for use by Sales and other Solution Engineers during the sales cycle. • Culminating from what is uncovered of the customers business and their goals, deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.• Challenge oneself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems. • As every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems. To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:  • You can embrace, live and breathe our BMC values every day • 5+ years experience in a presales capacity, or relatable technical role • Proven ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible • Subject matter expertise on the technology and business use of one or more z/OS solutions• Demonstrated artistry with creating and delivering compelling demonstrations • Drawing from your previous experiences, you are a subject matter expert on z/OS solutions. Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: • BMC Software product knowledge
