Role & responsibilities

KRA for Accounts Executive (35 Years Experience)

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  2. Accurate and timely recording of day-to-day financial transactions.

  3. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  4. Ensure books of accounts are maintained as per statutory and company policies.
  5. Conduct ledger scrutiny and reconciliations (banks, vendors, customers).

  6. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

  7. Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense claims on time.

  8. Ensure proper approvals and documentation for AP/AR entries.
  9. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with clients for timely collection.
  10. Maintain ageing reports and highlight overdue accounts.

  11. Compliance & Taxation

  12. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESIC, and other statutory regulations.

  13. Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and assist in statutory audits.
  14. Support auditors in providing necessary data, schedules, and clarifications.

  15. Internal Controls & Audit Support

  16. Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and audit trails for all accounting entries.

  17. Assist in implementing internal controls to minimize risks and errors.
  18. Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to ensure smooth completion of audits.

KPIs (to measure KRA performance):

  • Timeliness & accuracy of financial reporting.
  • % of statutory returns filed on/before due date.
  • Average collection period (DSO).
  • Error rate in accounting entries.
  • Audit queries resolved without escalation.
  • Compliance adherence score.
