Role & Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, statutory compliances, client coordination, and supporting the audit and tax teams. Key responsibilities include:

Bookkeeping & Accounting:

Maintain books of accounts for clients in Tally, ZOHO, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.

Handle reconciliation of bank, vendor, and client accounts.

Statutory Compliances:

Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, Annual Returns).

TDS/TCS calculations, payments, and filing returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q & 27EQ).

Payroll accounting and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT).

Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely filing of statutory returns.

Taxation & Audit:

Assist in income tax return filing and support tax planning exercises.

Support internal audits, statutory audits, due diligence, and special assignments.

Client Coordination:

Communicate with clients/stakeholders for document collection and query resolution.

Assist in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and audit schedules.

Key Skills Required

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax).

Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and MS Office tools.

Exposure to accounting software like Zoho Books/QuickBooks (added advantage).

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) with relevant experience.

2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a CA firm or accounting setup.
