Team Lead

Job Summary :Lead and drives functional excellence in engineering solution, provide knowledge base, services and technical understanding for the "Estimation and Commercial Proposal" as per the industry standards and its regulatory requirements. You will report to the Manager - Proposal Engineering. Your Responsibilities: Deliver and execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Ability to take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal and external stakeholders & industry team on solutions. Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with team to improve team's capabilities. Lead technical implementation in whole life cycle of project delivery. Collaborate and work with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and share workloads. Ability to present solution to the stakeholders and coordinate development tasks with team members. Work with PM for scope management, deliver execution plans and monitor the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, customer acceptance and customer satisfaction. Work closely with Global Program Managers and PM for WBS development. Develop robust quality process and ensure strict adherence. Work closely and guide the proposal team for timely support on estimation and proposal delivery. Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of SSB standard. Drive project cost reduction through continuous process improvement, by applying and maximizing reusable engineering standards in project delivery. Drive business growth and strengthen foot-print of GEC. Work for optimizing procurement processes and identify process improvement opportunities. Provide support in AOP planning. Ensure that all audits (internal/external) are adequately documented, and significant risks are dealt promptly. Engage with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on deliverables and to improve overall engagement. Ensure deliverables provided by the GEC are delivered within exceptional good quality on time and on budget with high levels of Internal Customer Satisfaction. Manage utilization of all resources and ensure accurate capacity planning. The Essentials - You Will Have: Candidates need to have bachelor's degree in Electrical /Instrumentation / Control / Electronics (BE / BTech). 10+ years of relevant experience in automation engineering on VFDs, Soft-Starters MCCs, PLCs (Rockwell – Control Logix, PLC 5, Compact Logix, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, and Mitsubishi). Working knowledge on Drives, PLC & MCC System Engineering. Willing to work the 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM shift. Candidate needs to have exposure in Proposals, Quotations and Commercials. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Good reading and analytical experience of reviewing technical RFQ documents (Different type of Electrical Specification). Knowledge on Harmonic Mitigation Technique. Knowledge on AC and DC drives based on application like Tension/Torque regulation loop or load sharing concepts. Intermediate level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Component and Architecture Class Standard Drives, Intelligent Motor Control, Safety Product, Component Industry Control, Networks and a basic understanding of Motion Control, Low Voltage Product and Drive System. Sound knowledge of NEMA standard LV MCC construction and designing. Knowledge on MCC Bar designing and selection. Deep understanding of electrical drawing e.g. MCC single line and control schematic, Switchgear selections, pilot devices (Pushbutton, Selector Switch, Indication Light), control devices (Relays, timer) for different type of type starters. Major Commissioning Know-How experience on Coordinated Drive System and troubleshooting methods. Has experience in different types of Control Circuit design for stand-alone drive application and application knowledge on Heavy Industries/Cranes/Metals/Paper including Coordinated /Drive Systems are preferrable.
