Job Purpose -


Provide leadership to the administration, business development, learning and research activities of the Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing.


Job Outline -


  • coordinate and manage research projects in the manufacturing ecosystem
  • and support the conduct of the one-year Advanced Management Program in Operations and Supply Chain
  • participants for the Advanced Management Program in Operations and Supply Chain.
  • relationships with government, public sector undertakings, and corporations and sign MoUs. Ensure that MoUs are tracked and the activities are delivered.
  • the outreach activities of the institute. Be responsible for the website and social media outreach for the Institute. Manage engagement with the MIGM’s advisory council
  • responsible for the administrative coordination and working of the Institute. Take ownership of the budget, reports and finance-related activities of the Institute
  • coordinate and deliver training workshops
  • Any other job assigned by the Executive Director



Job Specification -

Qualification - Ph.D/Master’s degree in a field related to one or more of the Manufacturing sectors such as Operations, Supply Chain and logistics.

Technical - Excellent business development skills, expertise in budget preparation and financial analysis, ability to secure research grants, learning design, and process management. Networking ability with the government, policymakers, professional bodies, and industry.

Behavioural - Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience - 15 to 20 years


Job Interface -

Internal -

  • Coordinating with faculty, Academic Support & Administration, Executive Education, Operations, Finance, and HR teams for the day-to-day activities and requirements of the Institute
  • Interactions with students/student clubs and participants of the institute programs to work on any possible event or research where they can participate.
  • Coordination with the affiliate faculties of the centre for their research.


External -

  • Liaison with any external organisation/body for sourcing joint research, conferences/events.
  • Look out for any possible tie-ups with research and educational institutes for long-term collaboration.
  • Outreach for grants for possible funding of projects
  • Own and enable the Eminent Speaker Series for the Institute

Source, coordinate and manage research projects in the manufacturing ecosystem - 25%

Coordinate and support the one-year Advanced Management Program in Operations and Supply Chain. Support the eminent speaker series and the action learning projects. Source potential students for the program - 25%

Manage accelerator/training/ research initiatives being conducted in collaboration with the Government, industry bodies and other prominent institutions - 20%
