Senior Automation Test Engineer

to join our Quality Assurance team.

The ideal candidate must have 5-8 years of experience in automated testing , with a strong focus on strategizing testing methodologies and ensuring the highest standards of software quality. The

Senior Automation Test Engineer

will be responsible for developing comprehensive testing strategies, test plan documents, testing efforts, and ensuring that our software products meet or exceed quality expectations.

Job Responsibilities :

Test Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery.Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various testing levels (unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, technical specifications, and end-user needs to create effective test strategies.

Quality Assurance Leadership:Lead the QA team in executing manual and automated testing to ensure thorough coverage and high quality.Define and enforce QA processes, standards, and best practices across the organization.Mentor and guide junior QA team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of quality.

Test Automation:Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.Analyze test results, debug scripts, and work with the development team to resolve issues.

Performance and Load Testing:Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the application can handle expected user traffic and usage patterns.Use tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to simulate user activity and measure system performance.Documentation and Reporting:Conduct daily scrums to track overall testing activity.Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.Provide clear and concise test reports, including test execution status, defect summary, and overall product quality assessment.

Technical Skills

:Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) is a plus.

Soft SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Educational Requirements

:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

:5-8 years of experience in software automated testing.

Must have:Proven track record of developing and implementing test strategies.Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).Experience with manual testing techniques.

Good to have:Knowledge of security testing and related tools.Familiarity with cloud testing environments.Experience with agile methodologies and agile testing.
