We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer who will be working in the Data Platform division and core development of our AI Platform that will ideate consumer products of the future. As the Data Collection Engineer, you will be working hand in hand with the Data Science and Full Stack team on the toughest and most challenging problems in Data Engineering and Cloud Computing handling millions of data points that include social media.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the ETL jobs for ingestion and transformation areas of the data pipeline.
  • Support de-identification activities, performance analysis, and bug fixing along the data pipeline.
  • Work with data collection engineers, and insights team to profile/measure data quality and initiate improvement initiatives.
  • Follows and advocates engineering best practices including culture of process and data quality.
  • Work with stakeholders, data analysts & data scientists to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Explore our large data sets to improve our understanding of how our customers engage.
  • Effectively communicate your work with team leads and cross-functional stakeholders regularly.

Requirements :

  • Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field within 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience or willingness in big data processing, using solutions such as Spark analytics.
  • Experience in ETL automation using airflow, Mage AI, or other orchestration tools.
  • Experience with scripting and data analysis in Python (numpy, pandas).
  • Good understanding of data sets from a business point of view.
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL skills.
  • You will need to write custom queries to pull data to support your assumption and hypothesis. MySQL, Postgres, Elastic Search, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about DevOps and DataOps principles (e. g Infrastructure as code, automating different parts of the data pipeline).
  • Able to work independently with large and multiple data sets from various social networks, business processes, and systems, to support the business in achieving strategic objectives.

Nice to have :

  • Experience working on an Agile development team.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e. g. Tableau and Looker, Power BI).
  • High-level understanding of Data Science (how models are built, trained, and deployed).
  • You are passionate about technology and continuous learning comes naturally to you.
  • Experience with REST API frameworks and microservices.
