Associate Vice President, Talent Management Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded AVP of Talent Management to join our company. As the AVP of Talent Management, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing talent management strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives. You will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, as well as creating a positive and engaging work culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management, a deep understanding of HR practices, and the ability to effectively lead and drive change within a dynamic organization.


AVP, Talent Management Responsibilities


1. Develop and implement talent management strategies, initiatives, and programs that support the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing employees.

2. Create and maintain a comprehensive talent management framework including performance management, employee development, succession planning, and career pathways.

3. Oversee the design and implementation of performance management processes, including goalsetting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.

4. Drive the development and execution of employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.

5. Lead the talent acquisition process, including identifying hiring needs, developing job descriptions, and partnering with recruitment teams to attract and select top talent.

6. Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction and retention.

7. Collaborate with leaders and managers to identify high-potential employees and create development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers.

8. Design and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and promote an inclusive culture.

9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organizational performance.

10. Partner with senior leadership to align talent management strategies with business objectives and drive organizational change and transformation.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

3. Strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement talent management initiatives that align with organizational goals.

4. Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.

5. Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.

6. Proficient in using HRIS systems and talent management software.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform talent management decisions.

8. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

9. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment and drive change within the organization.

10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of talent management


Required Qualifications


1. Overall, 18 plus years of experience is required in HR domain and Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in talent management portfolio.

2. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing talent management strategies and initiatives.

3. Previous experience working with senior leaders and executives to drive talent management initiatives.

4. Certification in Human Resources is preferred.

5. Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse workforce and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

6. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

7. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

8. Proven ability to manage and lead change initiatives within an organization.

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
