The Role

As an Engineering Manager at Unifize, you will be at the forefront of driving our engineering team forward to deliver on our goals as a company. You will be reporting directly to the CTO. This role is designed for a passionate, proactive individual who is eager to dive deep into an engineering leadership role and help innovate solutions.


Responsibilities

● Manage a direct team of 8 developers based in Bangalore.

● Work with Product Management to plan releases and oversees the implementation by the development team.

● Resource allocation and balancing

● Implement and tracks development deadlines

● Negotiate feature sets with the product teams

● Identify and manage issues and risk throughout the product development lifecycle

● Help define and enforces development methodology and process

● Drive the testing process

● Maintain cross-department communication with key company stakeholders including customer support and customer success.

● Full people management responsibility, including hiring, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development for the overall department


Qualifications

● 5+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects that was released for public consumption

● Experience in developing/managing scalable web/mobile applications.

● Strong knowledge of functional programming and programming languages.

● Agile, proactive, comfortable working with high level specifications and can prioritise on the fly

● B.Tech/B.E. or higher degree in Computer Science
