TITLE : Senior Accountant

DEPARTMENT : Accounting

POSITION REPORTS TO : Accounting Manager

LEVEL : Senior


WORK LOCATION : Remote


JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY The Senior Accountant will perform a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, including bookkeeping, closing processes, journal entries, fixed asset management, consolidation of accounts, international accounting, tax compliance, cashier responsibilities, and other ad-hoc tasks as requested by the manager


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1.Perform bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.


2.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including tasks such as reconciling accounts, reviewing transactions, adjusting entries, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.


3.Review and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.


4.Maintain fixed asset registers and reconcile asset accounts to ensure accurate recording and reporting of company assets.


5.Consolidation of accounts at international level, combining financial information from multiple entities or subsidiaries operating in different countries to create a comprehensive set of financial statements for the entire group.


6.International accounting for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with various accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements in each jurisdiction where the company operates.


7.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations as applicable at country level


8.Cashier responsibilities, including handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records of cash flows. Banking Operation. Go to onsite Tax bureau or bank as needed. 


9.AP ageing for STS Group.


10.STS Payments Preparation (internal / vendors)


11.Consolidation of Operation costs for accrual


12.Voucher preparation


13.Monthly / Yearly Tax management


14.Perform Audit Task as needed for external audit15.Other ad-hoc task requested by Manager


QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION BACKGROUND : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Certified Charted Accountant


PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE : 5 to 10 years' experience in accounting


Strong knowledge of accounting principles.

Knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Proficiency with financial reporting software. 


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION : Chartered Accountant and ACCA Certified Accountant Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & FIXED NUMBER OF YEARS : 5-10 years in Accounting including GL

Both Experience as a single accountant in a company and extensive experience in GL accounting for Indian companies and MNC.


MANAGEMENT SKILLS : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


COMPUTER SKILLS : MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Accounting software (zoho, sage, quickbooks) 


LANGUAGE SKILLS : Good English (working language) and mother tongue in the local language


OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Positive thinking personality; able to remain organized in a fast paced environment.

Strong sense of priorities and deadlines. Able to work with people in multiple countries

Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Good time management skills.

Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
