In this position, you will report to the Software Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role within the Cloud Team. Your focus will be on developing and enhancing cloud-based solutions, expanding the functionality of core network services, and working on NextGen features that meet customer requirements.The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic thinker who excels in cross-team collaboration, drives results, and maintains an agile mindset. Additionally, you should have a passion for exploring new technologies and a proven track record of analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Network Security solutions, Kubernetes, Golang, Python and cloud technologies is a prerequisite.Participate in architecture creation to address long-term design objectivesProvide technical leadership for product features, taking them from conception to deliveryGenerate software designs and scope effort for new product featuresCreate software developed using Python, Go, for a Linux-based operating systemMentor, guide, and provide design and code reviews for other engineersWork with QA to help define effective test strategies and techniquesCollaborate with Sustaining Engineering and Customer Technical Support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issuesProvide design and code reviews for other engineersExcellent Python, and Go programming skills, with minimum experience with different virtualization environments, including VMware, Microsoft, and CitrixExperience working with Azure, Amazon, or Google cloud environmentExperience working with OpenStack or OpenShift Private Cloud environmentExperience with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, and/or DHCPExperience in Terraform, Ansible a plusKnowledge of networking and experience with network management and SNMPProven track record of shipping quality software products on timeRobust problem analysis and diagnostic capabilitiesAbility to lead small teams or work independently as needed
