Job Title: Cloud Data Architect (Azure & AWS) Experience: 10+ Years Work Location: Navi Mumbai – Sanpada Company: Confidential (Paramatrix Technologies Limited) About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Data Architect with deep expertise across Azure and AWS data ecosystems to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of modern, scalable, and secure data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of technical leadership, hands-on solutioning, and client engagement skills — capable of driving end-to-end data modernization initiatives from strategy to execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Architecture & Delivery Design, architect, and implement cloud-native data platforms on Azure and AWS . Build data lakehouse solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Glue, EMR , and Delta Lake . Lead the development of ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue , and PySpark . Architect federated data access solutions using Trino, Athena, or Synapse Serverless for cross-platform data querying. Define best practices for data modeling, partitioning, cataloging, and metadata management . Oversee data governance, compliance, and security frameworks using Azure Purview, Lake Formation, IAM, RBAC , and encryption standards. 2. Pre-Sales & Client Engagement Collaborate with sales and business teams during RFPs, RFIs , and client discovery sessions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs for prospective clients. Lead the creation of Proof of Concept (PoC) environments to showcase platform capabilities. Draft technical proposals, architecture blueprints, solution diagrams , and effort estimates . Translate client requirements into scalable, cost-efficient, and secure cloud architectures . 3. Leadership & Collaboration Mentor and guide data engineers and developers on best practices in cloud data architecture. Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC automation (Terraform/CloudFormation) , and monitoring solutions. Drive continuous improvement by staying current with cloud, data engineering, and analytics innovations . Desired Profile Azure Expertise Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADLS Gen2 , Synapse Analytics , Databricks , and Azure Functions . Experience designing data lakes, medallion/layered architectures , and implementing data governance with Azure Purview . AWS Expertise S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lambda , and Lake Formation . Experience building lakehouse and serverless data architectures on AWS. Technical Skills Strong programming knowledge in SQL, Python, PySpark for distributed data processing. Expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and optimization techniques . Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines) and infrastructure automation . Experience with Trino (PrestoSQL) for federated querying. Knowledge of cost optimization and performance tuning across Azure and AWS ecosystems. Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and influence technical decisions . Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work in a hybrid strategic + hands-on role. Team player with mentoring and leadership capabilities. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate / Azure Solutions Architect Expert AWS Certified: Data Analytics – Specialty / Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Architect Trino/Presto Certification (preferred but optional)
