You will have incredibly strong accountingand revenue recognition expertise, analytical skills, be hard working, a great communicatorand leader, yet humble enough to roll up their sleeves and get into the details.Responsibilities Work on month-end revenue closing activities including, but not limited to,reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments,preparing accurate journal entries, reconciliations, data analysis, reportingdisclosures, documenting revenue conclusions and ad hoc requests Review Software and sales contracts for compliance and revenue implicationsunder ASC 606 Assist with adhoc analyses of revenue and billing Maintain internal control documentation and assist with revenue processdevelopment Help in the internal and statutory audit Assist and support revenue manager in Interpreting contractual language toadvise on and apply proper application of accounting policies under ASC 606 Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for various revenueaccounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues andimprove accounting processes/efficiencies Partner closely cross-functional to identify areas for improvement and implementbest practices, automation, and continuous process improvements Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices anddemonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Requirements You must have recently been a revenue accountant or the assistant revenuemanager for a company in the software space Must have a CPA/CA and a bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance,or a related field Minimum of 4 years of experience in a corporate finance environment, ideallyincluding 2-3 years of experience in revenue accounting of software and cloud-based offerings Experience in SAP/RAR or any ASC606 revenue model is a must Strong experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Should be ready to work in flexible working hours (Swing shift or PST) to supportthe monthly/quarterly closing activities and any adhoc requests, if any Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to workeffectively across internal and external organizations Hybrid model – 3 days mandatory presence in office
