Licensed Vocational Nurse

We seek a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as needed. As an Agency LVN, you will provide advanced nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental, and behavioral health issues within our client’s maximum security unit. Your role is critical in ensuring the well-being of our patients and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Requirements Key Responsibilities
Advanced Nursing Care:
- Perform advanced vocational nursing work, including administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, and managing complex medical conditions.
- Patient Care and Welfare: Provide comprehensive care, treatment, and support to individuals with diverse health needs.
- Specimen Collection and Health Screenings: Collect specimens for lab work and conduct health screenings as required.
Staff Instruction:
- Instruct staff members on providing service and care that aligns with individual medical requirements.
- Technical Procedures: Execute technical nursing procedures following regulations and best practices.
Training and Supervision:
- Provide on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff.
Work Assignment: Monitor and assign tasks to psychiatric nursing assistants.
Outcome Evaluation: Evaluate nursing interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.
Health and Safety Programs: Assist in implementing protocols, procedures, and programs to enhance health and safety within the unit.
Schedule and Shift Details
Shifts: Available shifts are from 3 PM to 11 PM and 11 PM to 7 AM.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following: Associate degree or higher Behavioral Health (1+ years)
