The incumbent will be responsible for:
Independently handling FPI tax and international tax assignments including
Taxation of Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI) and Alternate Investment Funds (AIF)
FPI’s and AIF’s Annual Tax Return Filing
Managing the AIF’s tax computations prepared for NAVs of AIF
Managing other tax compliances for FPI and AIF
Withholding tax advisory and certification
Advisory on international tax issues
Structuring of inbound investments
Handling Certifications required for foreign payments/remittances
Representation before tax authorities

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
4 - 8 years experience in
Dealing with FPIs and FIIs in particular and the financial services sector more generically
Working with the Financial services sector including FPIs
Income tax (domestic and international tax)
Interpretation of double tax avoidance agreements
Taxation of capital gains and interest income
Income tax compliance, planning and advisory for FPIs
Representation before tax authorities
Working with International tax structuring
Experience in/exposure to FEMA will be an added advantage
Proven leadership abilities
Excellent communication skills including legal/technical drafting
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good analytical and process skills
