Position: Senior Manager – ProcurementNumber of vacancies: 1Summary/ Objective:At Gaiagen, we manufacture products that are biological alternatives to chemicals, in the field of pestmanagement. We are looking for a Senior Manager - Procurement who can establish best practicesin the procurement functions, Vendor Management Strategies, bring in Purchase efficiency,possibilities of purchase income and reduction of turnover time.The role responsibilities include designing and implementing a robust system for procurement ofRaw Materials, Packing Materials, and Capital Items and Traded goods with defined timelines andrates. Will also include bringing in full accountability for the negotiations to have the optimal costand quality, Striving to engage Transporter & Freight Agency for fastest delivery at reduced cost andalso Efficient collaboration with all the stakeholders.You should be a responsible mentor with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broadknowledge of the business. If you’re also committed to productivity and compliance, we’d like tomeet you.Required Qualification1. Graduate / Post Graduate/ MBA degree in supply chain management, logistics or businessadministration.2. At least 5+ years of experience in a senior position handling Procurement (preferably in aChemical/ Agro Industry) with knowledge of related compliances and statutory requirementsin any reputed organization. Experience of having worked with R&D function will be anadvantage.Skills & Attributes:● Proven working experience in a similar role.● Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management, Assets & Inventory Management.● Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.● Outstanding negotiation and networking.● Working experience of vendor management softwares.● Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.● Solid judgment along with decision making skills.● Strong leadership capabilities.Job Description1. Management of the overall procurement systems which will include the following:1. Develop, lead and execute purchase strategies.2. Identifying and removing potential barriers to success.3. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirement documentations.4. Alternate procurement and vendor strategies for every possible item.5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplierpower.6. Define and monitor efficiency, effectiveness and success of the Procurement activitiesusing adequate controlling tools which are measurable and repeatable.7. Initiating a Sourcing Strategy in alignment with Global Procurement standards.8. Ensuring the implementation and tracking of the achieved results.9. Ownership for individual Procurement targets.10.Align internal local decision makers through focused communication.11. Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.12. Assess, manage and mitigate risks13. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers14.Determine quantity and timing of deliveries15. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand16.Establish appropriate guidelines, policy and governance across the organization basedon the Global Procurement standards and local compliance requirements.17.Observing high health and safety standards.18.
