Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide day-to-day IT support across the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, troubleshooting and networking.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other standard business applications.
  • Respond to and resolve user-reported technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain asset inventory of all IT hardware and software.
  • Support network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi) and basic troubleshooting of switches/routers.
  • Set up new user systems, email accounts, and provide onboarding IT support.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure data security protocols are followed during maintenance or issue resolution.
  • Log and track support tickets using internal IT helpdesk tools.
  • Provide support for video conferencing systems, projectors, and AV equipment as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in desktop and end-user support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking.
  • Familiarity with antivirus software, system imaging, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Tamil (preferred).
  • Ability to handle pressure and prioritize multiple support requests.
