Position Overview
Location: Chennai
Position Title: UX Researcher
Reports to: Manager - EV Product Strategy
Function: EV Commercial
Responsibilities
HMI UX Research: Lead research efforts specifically focused on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, understanding user interactions, needs, and pain points within the motorcycle context.
Research Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive research plans, identifying key research questions, objectives, and appropriate methodologies for HMI UX.
Data Analysis: Analyze research data related to HMI interactions to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that can guide design and product decisions.
Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Create and present Proof of Concept (PoC) prototypes for HMI systems to demonstrate research findings and design concepts. Ensure alignment with project goals and obtain sign-off from management at various stages of the project.
Problem solving: Identify design constraints from the hardware and software teams, and make strategic design and UX decisions related to core functions and features.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate HMI research findings into the product development process.
Persona Development: Create user personas, journey maps, and other deliverables to effectively communicate user needs and experiences specific to HMI.
Reporting & Presentations: Synthesize and present research findings in clear, compelling reports and presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging research methods, and best practices in HMI UX to continuously improve our research processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
