Job Description: 1. Quantity Estimation & Analysis Study architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to prepare detailed quantity take-offs. Estimate material requirements for concrete, steel reinforcement, shuttering, blockwork, plaster, flooring, and other civil items. Prepare BOQs and cost estimates for tendering and internal budgeting. Verify contractors' bills and site consumption reports. 2. Procurement & Vendor Management Identify and evaluate vendors/suppliers for various construction materials. Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate rates and terms. Issue purchase orders in line with project requirements and approved budgets. Maintain updated vendor databases and track delivery schedules. Coordinate with the site team to ensure material availability and resolve supply issues. 3. Documentation & Coordination Prepare cost summaries, rate analyses, and comparison sheets. Maintain proper documentation of estimates, POs, and vendor communications. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounts for approvals and payments. Assist in budgeting, cost monitoring, and cost control during project execution.
