Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities
1) Verify vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
2) Post and process entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
3) Accurately pass entries and perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
4) Data entry for maintaining data in various systems and excel sheets.
5) Ensure the TDS Compliances at the time of booking the invoices
6) Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
7) Maintain and update vendor files and records including contact information, bank details, contractual agreements, and tax documentation.
8) Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
9) Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues
10) Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement and accounting, to guarantee smooth processes.
11) Participate in the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls and procedures related to accounts payable, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
12) Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounts payable processes.
13) Work closely with the inter-department teams to ensure the booking of imprest and reimbursements and implementation of expense management system.
14) Manage data for the customer refunds and co-ordinate with customer service team in case of any queries.
Qualifications
1) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
2) 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
3) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
4) Proficiency in using Tally Prime and Microsoft Office Suite
5) Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
6) Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
7) Strong communication and interpersonal skills
