Lead generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and attending trade shows. Client relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and the technical specifications of construction projects. Sales process: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and needs assessment to delivering sales presentations and closing deals. Proposal and bid management: Prepare accurate and detailed proposals, bids, and contracts. Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress. Collaboration: Work with other departments like marketing, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.  Required skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong sales acumen and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the construction industry and its products/services.  Potential variations Field sales: Involves visiting clients on-site, conducting product demonstrations, and inspecting project sites. Remote sales: Focuses on sales through virtual meetings, phone, and email. Specialized sales: May focus on specific products, such as heavy equipment, construction chemicals, or building materials.  Requirements Conducting surveys and gathering data for land development and construction projects. Designing and setting up survey systems, including total stations and GPS receivers. Performing calculations and analyzing data to produce accurate survey reports.
