Senior Engineer, Network Operations

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Semtech Global NOC -30%
  • Perform telecom nodes troubleshooting to assure high levels of stability, reliability, and availability of the Managed Connectivity services. – 20%
  • Diagnose end to end Managed Connectivity related issues. – 20%
  • Work with the Network Operations team and Application Support Engineers to ensure maximum uptime of the system. -20%
  • Proactively work to refine documentation of systems/network, troubleshooting guides, policies, and procedures. – 10%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience
  • Schedule flexibility with ability to work non-standard business hours.
  • Background in telecom and networking products (MSC, HLR, VLR, PGW, Radius, DEA/STP, VPNs, Routers, Switches etc.)
  • Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, nodes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
  • A dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently.

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with various monitoring tools such as Kibana, Nagios, Graphite etc. will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge on AI and ML usage in data analytics will be an added advantage
