Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Technical Document Writer is responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for various IT Products, Systems, or Processes within the organization.
This role involves working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) of Application Teams, Database Team, Infrastructure Team, Network Team, Information Security Team & Governance & Compliance Team to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation that is accessible to the target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, system administration guides, API documentation, BCP Documents, Policies & Processes of all Service Operations, Cloud Operations, Security & Compliance and release notes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, developers, and quality assurance (QA) analysts, to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Translate technical specifications, requirements, and design documents into easy-to-understand user documentation and instructional materials.
- Organize and structure content effectively to facilitate ease of navigation and retrieval for end-users.
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines and standards across all documentation.
- Review and edit documentation for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors, as well as technical accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with SMEs to validate technical content and incorporate feedback and updates as needed.
- Manage documentation repositories and version control systems to ensure proper documentation storage, organization, and access control.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in technical writing and documentation tools.
- Provide training and support to internal teams or end-users on accessing and using technical documentation effectively.
- Create, Manage and maintain all documentation (Policies, Processes & Artifacts of all IT audit & compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a software development or technology-related environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in documentation.
- Proficiency in using design & documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, GITHUB Projects, AzureDevOps Board, JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, ITIL, Service Management and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing, software development processes, methodologies, and terminology is a plus.
