Valvoline Global has a rewarding opportunity as an AVP, Valvoline Business Services (VBS) Operations reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, APAC. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week based in Gurugram, India.


Primarily responsible for development and performance of Valvoline Business Services (VBS) activities globally


  • Work closely with members of business/functional leadership in shaping business/functional level VBS strategy
  • Drive & manage project operations and ensure timely delivery of high-quality services across the organization
  • Manage customer relationships and work on building healthy pipeline of growth opportunities for VBS services
  • Provide leadership towards enabling profitability and growth in line with company's vision and establishes plans and strategies

-Ensure operational efficiencies and effectiveness across VBS operations

-Benchmark VBS against industry FTE, cost, service delivery levels

  • Partner with business functions to explore opportunities for VBS by constantly assessing business processes across the enterprise; Liaise with senior business leaders to realize enterprise efficiencies and overall cost reductions while enhancing quality
  • Assist in establishing and revising VBS policies and procedures to align with corporate strategic direction and global accounting policy manual, while managing smooth delivery of day-to-day operations


How You’ll Make an Impact


1.Responsible for facilitating operational performance and service delivery

  • Work with business/functions to facilitate establishing SLAs
  • Facilitate preparation of scorecards benchmarked with industry to monitor performance for growth
  • Establish committees and implement process for scorecard review; Oversee identified areas for additional focus and ensure quality of service delivery


2.Generating new prospects for the organization

  • Identify potential and showcase capabilities to attract projects
  • Convert them into opportunities for VBS and business/function and lead project approvals
  • Facilitate migration of projects to VBS
  • Establish pipeline to expand the customer and service base


3.Client Relationship & Internal stakeholder Management: Process and people related change management; Act as first point of escalation for critical/complex service issues; Relationship management; Serve as the VBS principal representative and communicate updates to stakeholders including Board level messaging on operations and performance


4.Ensure effective hiring across the organization; People development and attrition management; Provide mentoring and guidance to employees while facilitating on-site performance management


5.Oversee safety, health, regulatory compliances of VLSIPL, CSR initiatives, employee engagement and effectiveness


6.Reinforce and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and business code of conduct by regular engagement & communications


7. Primary interactions will be with the following:

  • Valvoline Global Products Leadership Team
  • VBS Steering Committee / Organization Operating Committee
  • Functional/ Corporate Managers
  • VBS location Functional Team Managers and Supervisors
  • Finance/HR/Legal


What You’ll Need


  • Master's degree in management, Business, Finance/ Chartered Accountant / IT with commercial experience
  • Training and certification in Six Sigma black belt or LEAN, or similar quality management experience desirable
  • 15+ years' experience with at least 7-10+ years' experience of handling and oversighting a team of 150 -200 FTEs in operations role in BPO / KPO
  • An experience in setting up a shared service business from scratch and scaling it up will be highly desirable
  • Ability to travel regionally, and occasionally globally, as required

  • English language, including exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Exposure to SAP and related integrated applications
  • Ability to drive performance through established SLA's
  • Ability to manage work within tight deadlines and constraints
  • Experience of working in a Shared service industry
  • Knowledge of best practices and technologies for supporting global operations in Finance, Supply Chain, customer service and IT processes in shared services environment
